Freedom Farms Produce Sourcing

Partnership for Growth LA (PFGLA) is a community development corporation with a mission to catalyze generational community wellness and cooperative development throughout South and West Los Angeles. PFGLA's Freedom Farms Program is dedicated to strengthening the local food economy by supporting small-scale and urban farmers, increasing food accessibility, and ensuring that fresh, high-quality produce reaches our communities.

Freedom Farms is seeking proposals from local growers to supply fresh, high-quality produce for community food distribution efforts, including The Garden at Leimert Park— a dynamic multi-use development that will feature a grocery store, coworking space, food vendors, and more— which will launch in 2026. This initiative is designed to serve as a community anchor, advancing food justice and economic empowerment through cooperative enterprise. Farms selected through this RFP process may have the opportunity to supply produce for future grocery store operations, as well as for interim channels such as farmers markets, community food boxes, and other community-serving distribution programs.
